The tumble dryer is an incredibly useful home appliance that can save you a lot of time and hassle. If it’s raining outside or you don’t have enough space at home to dry a full load, the tumble dryer will take care of the problem. The appliance is very versatile and almost all fabrics and clothing materials can go in, however before drying delicate items, we recommend reading the care labels on your clothes.
Can I dry my shirts and jeans together?
Most certainly yes. To be sure, we recommend reading the labels on your clothes, which will tell you exactly at what temperatures you can wash and dry clothes. The general tips for drying jeans include turning them inside out, as this helps minimise abrasion that can cause fading, and also zipping and buttoning them up to ensure they stay the right shape.
Can I dry my bedsheets?
Yes, anything from your bedsheets to kitchen cloths and towels are more than welcome in the tumble dryer. However, be sure to check the care symbols and spread your laundry accordingly as some items can be dried at a higher temperature, which means more effective drying.
Can I dry woollen items?
Woollen items are very delicate, so we recommend treating them with extra care. For this reason, most of our Bosch tumble dryers are fitted with a special programme that dries woollens gently, without causing shrinkage. For further information on how to dry woollen items you can refer to your user manual and the care labels on your clothes. If your appliance is not fitted with a drying programme for knit wear, we recommend air drying the garments.
What about shoes?
We strongly recommend against drying shoes in the tumble dryer because there is a chance that the glue which keeps the shoes together can start melting. To avoid damage to your shoes, please air dry them.
