The childproof lock is designed to prevent anyone, especially children, from accidentally activating your hob. All Bosch hobs, from electric to induction, are equipped with this safety feature.

Sometimes, you may accidentally activate the child lock function and as a result your appliance becomes unresponsive. To get your hob working as normal, you need to deactivate the childproof lock following these simple instructions.

To activate the child lock

Step 1: Ensure your hob is turned off.
Step 2: Touch and hold down the lock key symbol for four seconds.
The display next to the lock button lights up for ten seconds. The hob is now locked.

To deactivate the child lock

Step 1: Touch and hold down the lock key symbol for four seconds.
The lock is now deactivated and the hob is ready for use.
