When the child lock is activated, the appliance will become unresponsive and the dishwasher door will be difficult to open. The only way to get the control back is by deactivating the child lock feature. This is very simple and requires minimal effort. To do this, please follow the instructions given below.
To activate
Using the control panel:
1. Locate the child lock button on the control panel. The location varies between models, however there is usually either a padlock or key icon near the button.
2. Hold down the lock button for three to five seconds. You should hear an audible beep and/or see the symbol appear.
The child lock is now activated.
Manually:
1. Pull the catch of the child lock towards yourself. The catch is located centrally above the appliance door.
2. Close the door.
The child lock is now activated.
To open the door when the child lock is in place:
1. Press the catch of the child lock to the right. The catch is located centrally above the door.
2. Open the door.
To deactivate
Using the control panel:
1. Locate the child lock button on the control panel. The location varies between models, however there is usually either a padlock or key icon near the button.
2. Hold down the lock button for three to five seconds. You should hear an audible beep and/or see the symbol disappear.
The child lock is now deactivated.
Manually:
1. Press the catch of the lock to the right. The catch is located centrally above the door.
2. Press the catch of the child lock backwards.
The child lock is now deactivated.
