What is rinse aid for a dishwasher?
Rinse aid is a surfectant product, which perfectly complements any dishwasher thanks to its ability to improve both cleaning and drying results. It works by reducing the surface tension of the water, which prevents water spots and helps your dishes to come out perfectly dry at the end of the cycle. While providing extra shine to your glasses, it also minimises the chance of etching by thinning out the water bond.
Where to put rinse aid in dishwasher?
We recommend using a separate rinse aid product to your dishwasher detergent, even if there is a small dose included. This is because detergent and rinse aid are dispensed at a different time during a program and each surfectant produces different results.
Please do not use too much detergent to make up for the lack of rinse aid, as this could etch glass or simply not rinse away. To learn how to clean glass in the dishwasher, click here.
How do you use rinse aid?
1. Load the dishwasher rack.
2. Open the rinse aid dispenser by pressing on the latch of the lid and pulling the lid open.
3. Carefully pour the liquid rinse aid in the dispenser until it reaches the max line. Make sure you do not overfill the dispenser as it may leak when you close the compartment.
4. Close the lid and ensure that it has been properly closed.
5. Check around the compartment and wipe any excess rinse aid that may have been spilled over.
6. Run the dishwasher as normal.
