If your dishwasher has power, but is not starting, we recommend going through the below checks which can help you get your appliance back up and running again in no time.
Dishwasher door is not closed properly
If the dishwasher door does not latch and close fully, the appliance will not start due to safety precautions. Please ensure that you have firmly closed the dishwasher door and then run the program. If the dishwasher door cannot be closed, click here for more information.
Unresponsive controls/child lock is on
If the control panel is not working or being responsive, it is likely that you have activated the child lock. This is nothing to worry about and you can deactivate it very quickly.
Using the control panel:
1. Locate the child lock button on the control panel. The location varies between models, however there is usually either a padlock or key icon near the button.
2. Hold down the lock button for three to five seconds. You should hear an audible beep and/or see the symbol disappear.
The child lock is now deactivated.
Manually:
1. Press the catch of the lock to the right. The catch is located centrally above the door.
2. Press the catch of the child lock backwards.
The child lock is now deactivated.
If you are having difficulties activating and/or deactivating the child lock please refer to your appliance’s instruction manual for more information.
Defective door latch
Even if your appliance door closes fully, but the door latch isn’t functioning properly, the dishwasher will not start running. In this case, you must replace the faulty part and to do so, we recommend booking a service engineer, who will rectify the problem. Due to safety concerns, we do not recommend replacing the door latch yourself.
Malfunction
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply, then pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse. Wait at least 5 seconds, then connect the appliance to the power supply and try to start the program again.
