Selecting a beverage

- Ristretto coffee is a short shot of high concentrated espresso coffee. Similar to the espresso, it’s made with finely ground beans and water. However, it is sweeter and more intense than a standard espresso, and uses less water.
- Espresso coffee is a traditional Italian coffee that is brewed using high water pressure and finely ground beans. It results in a strong black coffee, served as a small shot.
- Espresso macchiato is similar to an espresso, and translates from Italian as ‘stained coffee’, due to the small splash of steamed milk. Therefore, an espresso macchiato consists of a single shot of espresso with a small amount of steamed coffee. An espresso macchiato is a perfect coffee for those who love a rich coffee taste.
- Cappuccino consists of equal parts of espresso, steamed milk, and milk froth. Traditionally, a cappuccino is viewed as a morning drink to provide an energy boost for the day. A cappuccino has a bold flavour, complimented with natural sweetness from the milk.
- Latte macchiato can be confused with a caffe latte, however there is a slight difference. A latte macchiato is an espresso with steamed milk and is perfect for those who prefer a sweeter and creamier drink.
- Caffe latte is an Italian coffee made of steamed milk with espresso. There is 2/3 more milk and foam than coffee, therefore making the latte silky and sweet.
- Milk froth is aerated milk, where air bubbles are added to make a foam or froth. Milk froth provides a dense and fluffy textured foam, which is an essential to certain coffees, like a cappuccino.
- Warm milk.
- Hot water.
