Easy to Use
I bought this Bosch built-in oven as a replacement for a 15 year old (Non Bosch), oven that had failed. This model appealed as it has a slightly lower power requirement meaning it can either be hard-wired directly into a suitable fused 13 amp swithed wall connector or plugged into a 13 amp socket using the fitted plug. The oven interior is a good size and the controls are easy to understand and use. The unit has a good quality appearance and is nicely finished. The only reason for not giving a five star score is that so far, it seems to cook items quicker at a given temperature than my old oven so, where something might be a suggested temp and time of 190 degrees for 25 minutes, I'm finding this oven at 190 will be needing only 20 -22 minutes. Easy enough to adjust to though and otherwise, a very good value oven.

Attractive looking oven with some good functions
Black finish looks attractive - a more modern feel than stainless steel and hopefully easier to keep free of finger marks. Rapid heat function is good - a clear audible signal tells you when the oven is up to temperature. The 'hot air gentle' setting may be iseful for baking. I doubt we'll ever use the steam function or the timers. Only downside we've found so far is a very significant temperature difference between shelves with the default '3D hot air setting'. OK when you know about it but would expect more consistency of temperature in a modern fan oven especially as the description in the user manual states: 'The fan distributes heat ... evenly around the cooking compartment'

Oven ovation
Very pleased so far with the Bosch oven and its performance is very satisfactory. However, we would have one complaint in that the dial/function indicator on the black matt finish is extremely difficult to read in almost all lightng conditions.

Poor design on dials
I find it very difficult to see the legions on the oven dials as there is no led backlight, which is rediculous.What you need to know. All in one go.
Do I have to register to use Home Connect?
Yes, when you download the app, you will need to create an account.
How do I connect my Hob and Hood in Home Connect?
1. Connect your hob and hood to the Home Connect app
2. Find the Settings for your hob within the appliance page on the app
3. Select ‘Home Appliance to Home Appliance Connection’
4. Follow the instructions in the app – your connected Hood should appear available to connect and will let you know when it is successfully paired
Now you can start using Hob-Hood Control in your home

Can I use Home Connect with my older appliances?
Unfortunately, this isn't a good idea. Retrofitting an older appliance that wasn't originally designed to work with the app is difficult and expensive. There is also the added challenge of ensuring that all electrical safety precautions are still in place.
What kind of Wi-Fi router do I need?
Any standard Wi-Fi router that is roughly five years old or newer should work. Just remember that for security reasons, you must encrypt your network. You can't register your appliance over an unencrypted network.
Will you share my data with third parties?
We give you a full breakdown of all the partners and service providers who will have access to your data. All those companies must adhere to our strict guidelines on processing information. But, if for any reason you are unhappy, you are free to cancel the connection with partner services at any time. And if you choose to delete your Home Connect account, we will automatically terminate the connection to all active links for you.
