What's in my fridge
Madeleine Shaw is a London-based blogger partnering with Bosch Home Appliances. A big believer in eating the Mediterranean way, she is showing us what’s inside her Bosch VitaFresh Plus fridge. Explore the Mediterranean diet and discover Madeleine's healthy recipes and tips.
Hello everyone,
Happy to share with you today what’s in my fridge, so I think your fridge is like a window into your soul – opening up feels unexpectedly personal! So I want to share what’s inside my fridge with you, because these foods are the secret to getting my glow, giving me energy and nourishing my body inside and out.
I’m a big believer in eating the Mediterranean way – a whole rainbow of fresh produce and healthy fats that I can rework a zillion ways to throw together gorgeous fresh meals in no time at all. Wherever I can I like to cook from scratch so I know exactly what I’m eating, but watch my video and you’ll discover a few cheeky sweet treats – I’m not 100% healthy all the time!
Inside my fridge you’ll see how I divide my fruit and veg into separate sections – I’ve got the Bosch VitaFresh Plus fridge that controls the humidity for different compartments and helps your fruit and veg last up to two times longer! This means my food is at its absolute peak in terms of both flavour and nutrition and it gives me all the delicious goodness I need to glow.
I’m always trying to retain the nutrients of my food and steaming is the best way to do this. My favorite recipe to steam is my tray baked cod with asparagus, it steams in 10 minutes in my Bosch Oven. To keep my energy levels at bay I love to make some energy protein balls which can be whipped up easily in my Bosch mixer. I have them in the fridge to snack on at 4pm.
Check out my video showing you what’s inside my fridge and sharing tips:
I’m also sharing two of my favourite recipes:
Homemade Cashew Milk
Ingredients:
100g cashews
500ml water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch sea salt
Directions:
• Soak cashews in 300ml of the water for at least four hours – I often leave mine overnight.
• Then drain the water and blend your softened cashews with the vanilla extract and salt, until perfectly smooth. Add another 200ml water and blitz again.
• Sieve the liquid to remove any last chunks, and hey presto, cashew milk!
My Ultimate Energy Balls
Ingredients:
100g almonds
100g pecans
50g raisins
100g medjool dates
1tbsp coconut oil
Directions:
• So easy! Just blend everything together, then roll into balls and leave in the fridge to set. They’ll last about 7 days.
I’d love to know what you’ve got in your fridge as it says so much about you, so please leave a comment over on my Insta.
Love, Madeleine xx
