Cleaning the oven can be challenging and time consuming, but it doesn't have to be. That’s why we offer a range of innovative cleaning products that make cleaning your Bosch oven easy. Each one cleans without the usual chemical smells and makes light work of tough crusty residues, leaving you more time to create fabulous food while your appliance works at its best for longer.
Step by step guide
Before starting, ensure that the oven is switched off and is cool. While it can be dangerous, using special cleaners in a hot cooking compartment also damages the enamel.
1. Remove the oven racks. If you need help, please check your appliance's instruction manual for full details on how to do this safely. Soak racks in hot, soapy water (or a bathtub with dish soap and dryer sheets) for several hours. Scrub them with a sponge or brush, then rinse and dry.
2. Clean the interior with a safe cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals that can damage your appliance. You can find our recommended cleaning products below.
3. Let cleaners break down stubborn stains. You may have to leave the cleaning product to work for a short while before attempting to clean a stubborn stain. We recommend using a Degreaser to treat stains which have baked in as it interacts with both dirt and greaser. For a more effective clean of the cooking compartment, you can use the Pyrolytic self-cleaning function if your appliance is fitted with it.
4. Pay extra attention to the oven door. The glass surface of your door should be cleaned with a safe oven cleaner or hot soapy water. Avoid using glass scrapers or glass cleaners and do not press down too hard on the door when cleaning. Regularly clean the oven glass especially if you notice spills and drips.
5. Clean the stainless steel surfaces. Use a stainless steel cleaner to remove discolouration.
6. Final touches. Wipe everything down with a clean, damp cloth until no residue remains. Replace the oven racks and any other parts.

Top tips to remember
- DO NOT use any stainless steel cleaners or conditioners on black stainless steel. Black steel can simply be cleaned with mild, soapy water and a soft cloth.
- DO NOT use any chlorine-based cleaners, abrasive cleaners or cloths.
- Always remove all racks from the oven before activating the self-clean feature. Telescopic racks will get damaged if they left in the oven during self-cleaning. They will get stuck and you won’t be able to pull them out.
- Make sure the oven vents are clear and unblocked. These vents release hot air. It’s normal to see hot air or steam escaping from these vents.
