4. Level your washing machine
Avoid a leaning laundry tower by making sure your washing machine is level before you stack. Here's how to do it:
Place a spirit level on top of your washing machine. If the bubble is right between the two lines, your washing machine is level. If the bubble floats toward one side, that side is higher. Raise the opposite foot to level your appliance, or lower the foot on the side of the bubble, to level your appliance. it may take several adjustments to get the machine perfectly leve.
Pro tip: For easy stacking, a stacking kit is a great choice. It usually consists of a frame and fixing elements like screws. Remember: The dryer must be stacked above the washing machine. Placing the washing machine on top of the dryer can be unstable and dangerous.

Tumble dryers are very heavy, so lifting should only be done with extreme caution. Squat and lift the dryer from below to stack it onto the washer.

No, you should only stack your dryer on top. Because they can get very heavy when filled with water, washing machines should stay on the floor. Washers also have high spin speeds, which increases the risk of accidents when stacked.
It depends on your dryer model. Condenser dryers can be placed on their side, if necessary. Heat pump dryers should always be transported in an upright position.
Optional: Use a fastening strap.
A fastening strap helps you stack your appliances safely, especially when creating a freestanding unit. Follow these steps:
- Start on one side: thread the strap down through the kit, with the lever on the strap pointing outwards.
- Pass the strap under your washer and up and through the slot on the other side.
- Mount the dryer onto your washer. Pull the strap over the dryer toward the belt tensioner.
- Pass the strap through the centre slot of the tensioner.
- Tighten the belt securely and click the lever into place.
