Cleaning your venting hob is slightly more different than caring for a traditional hob appliance. To get it right, our step by step guide below will help you understand what each area of the appliance requires.

Cleaning the glass

Caution

  • Ensure that the cooktop has cooled down before you start cleaning.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners to prevent scratching.

1. Using a soft cloth and soapy water, wipe down the hob area.
2. To remove burnt-on deposits and tough dirt spots, use the Glass Scraper provided in the Ceramic Hob Maintenance Pack.
3. Using a soft sponge, wet clean the hob.
4. Apply the Hob Cleaner evenly across the worktop and wipe down with a lint-free cloth, as provided in the product pack, for a shiny finish.

Cleaning the stainless steel

Caution

  • Do not use the Glass Scraper to clean the hob surroundings.

1. Using hot soapy water and the Stainless Steel E-Cloth, wipe down the appliance in the direction of the finish. Venting hobs usually have strips of stainless steel on the side of the appliance, so minimal amount of water is necessary.
2. Wipe down the stainless steel with Conditioning Oil to ensure that the stainless steel is protected from marks and fingerprints.
3. Remember to always clean stainless steel surfaces in the direction of the grain.

Cleaning the plastics and controls

After using our Hob Cleaner, we recommend using a soft cloth and warm water to wipe down the different areas of the hob. Use a lint-free cloth to dry the appliance.

Cleaning the ventilation system

The filter must be regularly cleaned or replaced in order to guarantee efficient filtration of odours and grease. Ensure that the metal grease filter is cleaned every 30 operating hours or at least once a month.
