The dishwasher spray arms are responsible for distributing the water around the appliance which cleans the dishes and items being washed. Unfortunately, they can become clogged with small pieces of food or debris, which can lead to poor washing results if not maintained properly. However, cleaning the dishwasher spray arms is a simple procedure, which doesn't have to take long. To effectively clean the spray arms, please refer to the instructions as shown in the video below.
Step by step guide
1. Unscrew and detach the upper spray arm.
2. Unclip the lower spray arm and lift away.
3. Use a cocktail stick to clean the small outlet nozzles on the spray arms. You can also soak the spray arms into vinegar solution to dissolve food particles that have blocked the outlet nozzles. If you do soak the spray arms, be sure to clean them with soapy water after.
4. Rinse the spray arms thoroughly, then shake off any remaining residual water.
5. Twist the clip to lock the upper spray arm into position.
6. Press downwards to clip the lower arm into place.
